VISION Alumni & Impact
VISION Transylvania is a 10-month civic learning and community immersion experience that helps participants better understand how Transylvania County works—and how to engage with it thoughtfully and effectively. Through shared learning, behind-the-scenes access, and relationship-building, participants develop skills that extend beyond the program: systems thinking, collaboration across differences, and a deeper sense of responsibility to place.

Today, nearly 800 VISION alumni form a diverse, connected network of people who carry those skills into their work, service, and civic lives. Their impact takes many forms, but is rooted in a shared understanding of community and a commitment to showing up where leadership is needed.
VISION alumni make an impact by:

These contributions reflect the many directions alumni take after completing VISION. Rather than leading toward a single outcome, the program equips people to engage with their community in ways that align with their values, interests, skills, and the time and resources they’re able to offer.
